The Lord has blessed Bowling Green and surrounding areas with an influx of people from Afghanistan over the past few years. Most often times, these individuals are fleeing from persecution. Refuge BG is providing services such as help with immigration, driver’s education, employment, English tutoring, and more! In partnership with existing local churches, the Lord has called an Afghani believer to begin the church planting process. Join us in prayer as this pastor and his family seek to share the Gospel and plant a new church among this hard-to-reach people group.

The Bowling Green Bosnian community has been well-established for several decades, yet this people group remains virtually unreached with the gospel. Specific to their community is a Bosnian American Association that meets on Old Morgantown Road and a Bosnian Islamic Center of Bowling Green on Blue Level Road. We are praying to be able to start a Bosnian church. Currently, there are Bosnians joining local church basketball leagues, visiting morning worship services, and being discipled by believers in several of our associational churches. The Lord is moving amongst these neighbors whom have resided in our city for over 20 years; yet still remain unreached and without a church.

There are several Burmese church plants in the association. We are assisting Zo Baptist Churches USA to establish an association across the nation to help reach the Burmese community and strengthen Pastors and Churches.

According to the United States Census data, Hispanics in Bowling Green number 7.7% of the population or 6,000 people. Currently there are a few Spanish language churches in Bowling Green, but several more are needed to reach this growing community with the good news of the gospel. In 2022, Jennings Creek Community Church was planted in west bowling Green and is now a fully bi-lingual congregation. Within our association, there will soon be another Hispanic Church planted right in the heart of our city.
