Dr. John Mark Toby

Leadership Strategist

Dr. John Mark Toby has served as the Leadership Strategist for the South Central Baptist Association since 2013. He was a Pastor for twenty-seven years and retired as a State Command Chaplain Colonel in the Army National Guard with thirty-five years of service.

He is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Degree; Luther Rice Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry Degree and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. He is a Board-Certified Pastoral Counselor and a Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He served as the President of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and Pastor’s Conference, and First Vice-President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He currently serves as a Trustee, and Adjunct Professor of Missions & Ministry and Leadership Studies at the University of the Cumberlands, and Kenya Baptist Theological College. He is married to Cathy; and, they have a son, Daniel.

Amy Smith

Ministry Assistant

Amy Smith has served the South Central Baptist Association as the Association Assistant since August 2003. She and her husband have two adult married children and one granddaughter. Amy and her family are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Jenna Curtis

Missions Mobilization Coordinator

Jenna Curtis has joined the South Central Baptist Association as Missions Mobilization Coordinator. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor of science in exercise science and pre-physical therapy. She is also a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Missiology.

For our association, she assists churches in mobilization strategies and evangelism outreach, as well as help churches with local, state, and national initiatives. She also serves at Glendale at Cave Mill church as the Director of Students.
